Distinguish by appearance
Waterborne polyurethane is mostly opalescent transparent, blue translucent. Oil-based polyurethane is transparent.
According to environmental protection distinction
Waterborne polyurethane is based on water as a dispersion medium, VOC (volatile organic compounds) content is very low, minimal environmental pollution; Oily polyurethane uses organic solvent (toluene, xylene, industrial alcohol, etc.) as dispersion medium.Toluene and xylene are important items of product environmental monitoring.
