What is the fluidity of ink?

2022-09-28

The fluidity of ink includes viscosity, adhesion, viscoelasticity, and yield value and thixotropy.It mainly depends on the nature of pigment and binder, and its manufacturing process, the content of binder directly affects the fluidity of ink.

In the printing press, the flow phenomenon is mainly manifested in the following three aspects:

(1) When the container is poured into the ink hopper, the ink is easy to flow; Otherwise,

(2) when output by the ink hopper, easy ink is called good fluidity; Otherwise, the difference.

(3) in uniform ink, ink and ink, easy to spread, transfer, transfer called good liquidity; Vice versa.

In the process of printing, it is important to control the flow of ink correctly. Moderate fluidity can not only ensure the normal flow of ink on the printing press, but also make the blot uniform and smooth.

(1) If the fluidity is too large, the ink will slip on the ink roller, resulting in the expansion of the blot geometry, damage the picture level, and increase the ink penetration on the paper;

(2) If the liquidity is too small, the ink supply is abnormal, so that the ink distribution is not uniform, can not ensure the uniformity of printing ink, and even due to the lack of ink caused by the layout of the version.
