Water based paint common problem: bubble - big bubble

Large bubbles are large, visible bubbles that are visible to the naked eye. Bulk bubbles generally occur during the production or application of water-based paints. Possible solutions:

1. Use appropriate defoaming agents

In the process of producing water-based paint, when a large amount of air is stirred into the water-based paint,large bubbles may be generated. The addition of a highly effective defoamer to the stirred bottom material serves to remove these large bubbles.These highly effective defoamers are generally able to withstand the effects of cutting during agitation. Continue to work during the agitation process to eliminate foam. Moreover, the agitation process can reduce the chances of these highly effective defoamers eventually causing defects on the surface of the aqueous paint film. In general, highly effective defoamers are not suitable for use with any of the diluents, and defoamers for "quick-acting" defoamers should be used.

Defoaming agent can also be "in the tank" defoaming. When choosing antifoaming agent, the balance between the durability of antifoaming agent and the reduction of defects on the surface of waterborne paint film should be considered. Non-silicone defoaming agents cause less side effects of surface defects, but their durability is also poor. In addition, some defoaming agents will cause surface defects of water-based paint film at the beginning,but if you wait 24 hours, let it fully react with the paint, they will cause defects of water-based paint film surface will be reduced.

2. Minimize the surfactant caused by foam.
